I received the following email. This is a great opportunity to get some world class training very, very inexpensively. Rob Haught is a terrific instructor. I've trained and shot with him. Even if you never shoot a match, this is worth doing.

Get the word out!

This class is for new IDPA shooters. It is NOT an advanced class.
Shooters will learn the fundamentals of shooting IDPA and basic IDPA skills. It is recommended if you are relatively new to the sport and would like to learn tips and improve your skills.

Saturday, April 17, 2010
9am-3pm
Fort Harmar Rifle Club Outdoor Range
$10.00
Rob Haught, instructor
150-200 rounds

If you are interested or know someone who is interested in taking the class contact Sean Parks via email at seanxd9@yahoo.com or call 740-374-3544.

Where is this range? Thanks for letting us know.

Dave.

It is just outside Marietta, OH. Just Google Ft. Harmar rifle club for directions. I'd post a link but it's difficult with the hand held I'm using. If you have any questions about IDPA just ask.

Here the link to Ft. Harmar's web site:

http://www.fortharmar.com/

This class isn't listed on the web site but the original email came from one of the club's officers.

I am very interested and the email is sent. Not to mention it's 5 miles from the house.

Good for you John. There are 4 beginners from around the Kanawha Valley who will be there also. You'll learn a lot and have a good time to boot.

I am going to try my best to be there. Just impossible for me to tell when I will be free this far away, this time of year. :(

Will this be held at the outdoor or indoor range?
Going to make a phone call in the am as my email was not answered yet.

Folks

Ive been to one of those classes in Ft. Harmar, and I urge anyone with the means and opportunity to go.

I learned a heck of a lot and got to meet Ken Hackathorn too.

That is an outdoor range and not a lot of facilities, or it didnt when I went in 1998, but youre going there to shoot and learn, not to picnic.

Bring stuff to drink, no pop machines there.

A couple of inexperienced shooters that I and some others are mentoring went to this class and reported that it was great. They had fun and learned a lot. I know at least one member here was going to attend also and I'd like to know what you thought of the class.
